Movie Reveiw - Coach Carter »

Coach CarterCoach Carter, released on 14th January, 2005, directed by Thomas Carter.Honestly, speaking when I heard the name of the movie I got fascinated and first thought came up in my mind is again some movie based on some personality. But when I checked details on Internet Movie Database, I got astonished, it has got high rating (7.1/10) and came to know that this movie based on Basket-ball.

Coach Ken Carter, who likes to give respect to all the men around him and honors everyone by calling him ‘SIR’, joins as a coach in ‘Richmond High School’ in the state of California. Initially I thought this man is mad, coz on the very first day he gave a contract to all the player of the team. A contract which bounds every player with some conditions and if they accept them then only they have place on the team. I wont like to spoil your movie so go and watch it for those conditions, who low GPA holders finds there way to some good university, how their love life works and many more white holes..!!

Shootout At Lokhandwala Movie Review »

POster of Shootout At Lokhandwala After bringing about a strange (but entertaining) combination of cuteness of a little girl and hardcore violence in Ek Ajnabee, it is not surprising to see Apoorva Lakhia making one of the most violent movies till date–SAL.

But this time the motive of the director is not only to entertain but a social message as well. The movie very well and rightly justifies the 1991 encounter of the ace criminal Maya Dolas and gang in a civilian area in presence of 112 civilians without any official order to kill.

Sanjay Dutt, as in every Sanjay Gupta movie is excellent playing the responsible “killing” cop. His subordinates Suniel Shetty and Arbaaz Khan have performed quite well. But the striking feature of the movie is Vivek Oberoi playing the “bad man” for the first time. Vivek has given the best negative performance of the year.

Nishabd Movie Review »

Nishabd Poster The only thought I had in mind after seeing the movie was that none other than RGV can make Nishabd. Based on a controversial Bengali novel Aparajita (not sure) Nishabd is a love story of a man and his daughter’s best friend.

Let me tell you Nishabd is not a movie to be watched with friends after your last exam, nor is a Sunday evening movie with a family. The movie is not an entertainment. The movie takes you on a strange journey showing some rare but existing human feelings. The movie tells that though human can go old in his health but his emotions always remain young.

Johnny Gaddar Movie Review »

Johnny Gadar Poster Director Shriram Raghvan strikes back with another masterpiece after Ek Hasina Thi. An interesting and “intelligent” story weaved with good direction and realistic Mumbai locations leaves the audience stuck to their seats. Another striking feature is that the movie starts from the end which the Bollywood directors rarely attempt.

The movie is about 5 club-partners (Shardul(?)–club owner, Shashidhar(Dharmendar)–retired Don, Shiva(Dayanad Shetty), Vinay Pathak–club runner and Vikram (Neil Nitin Mukesh)). Shardul’s wife(Rimi Sen) has an extra-marital affair with Vikram. The story begins with the 5 men planning a 2.5 crore deal for which each contributes 50 lakhs. Vikram, having wrong intentions wants to grab the whole sum.

Bollywood introduces a new technology »

“Gandhi, My Father” was the first bollywood film to be scanned in 4K resolution. It was possible with the initiative taken by “Prasad EFX” a leading Indian post production house. They have used “Autodesk’s Lusture” color grading and color correction system for the digital intermediate process in the film. The biggest challenge for Prasad EFX; the feature is set in the 20th century and they had to recreate this periods look and feel in the actual movie.
