What’s More Potent : God OR Human Brain?
Artificial Life, a topic which grabbed the minds of most of the people when they got up on 7th September 2007. The things which ran through their minds were, Is this possible ? Is this what we thought artificial life would be like, almost similar to natural life in this phase when everything mimicking life is like a robot ?
But its true the scientist Craig Venter who earlier decoded the Human Genome once again did what he is known for, grabbing the headlines. He has created an artificial chromosome 381 genes long and containing 580,000 base pairs of genetic code using the genome of Mycoplasma Genitalium. The developed chromosome is to be transferred into a cell and it is supposed to take over the control of the chemical machinery of cell and on reproduction produce new fully artificial cells which for convinience are named Mycoplasma laboratrium.
This is great, the genetic code comprising of just four things Adenine(A), Guanine(G), Cytosine(C) & Thymine(T), bounded by hydrogen bond can control life has been solve to a large extent to convert it to a grammatical form.
A Step Forward: This achievement has revolutionized the science of life. Man has taken over the role of God . He has created ’something out of nothing’ that is what is supposed to be done by God when he created life. This is thought to be of great value as many new species may develop which may produce a large amount of diversity to our environment. Imagine a cell which may take up CO2 , which may produce bio-fuels etc.
OR A Step Backward Indeed : Like everything this may also have two sides like a coin. Like every big scientific achievements this may also end up as a Bane instead of a Boon. This is a technique which can be use to cause mass destructions. Bio-weapons are no history. What if the newly produced species go ahead of their masters i.e. Humans. Many questions regarding this remain unanswered. To be on safer side a line to limit the use of this technique must be drawn.
Question Unanswered : The things which are still to be answered are
- When will the large organisms like a human will be developed?
- Will these organisms be compatible with the environment?
- Is this completely ethical?
- Will this not affect the spiritualism of the individual?
So it is to be thought that a great technique has developed but how can it be used such that there is no harms and no controversies .
The world’s first cloned adult animal was, Dolly-the sheep. The scientists who cloned Dolly are to stop experiments involving genetically modifying pigs for human organ transplants because of concerns that deadly new diseases could be passed on to people.
Final Quote :
God didn’t create everything out of nothing. You can’t even prove .005% of that theory. However these scientists may have actually physically proved that it doesn’t take god to create life. Finally we can stop being brainwashed and starting wars with religion

Nice topic Raja..
Keep it up.
We like OXYGYAN only because of the matters it covers..
it doesnt matter the brain is GOD made or Human made?
It will think by its own and may become like Einstien’s or may become like Osama’s…..

@theone
who is changing, we are just trying to get at par with god..which is nxt to impossible..

In this world…to survive you need to use your brain…to the most..and give a new life to your idea..and for better human survival
Anoop | Oct 7, 2007 | Reply
yes yes, right said @theone this is one topic better left untouched.its beyond our scope of imagining.

I just want to tell Humans to “Mind their own Business”….
There is no need to interfere in Gods decision. But in todays Technological Era Scientists want to do something new… and I totally agree on it too… Bec its the only Science who can make people stay on Mars.

God is every where & he is also creator of this universe as per some religious faith ( I personally do not agree). So whatever happening in this universe is indirectly done by God,God is working in Humane brains also.It means God & Human brains are inseparable.Hence there is no question what is more Important, both God & Hamane brain are one only.(If the creator theory is to be believed).
Debate shoud be on whether Evolution theory or Creator theory is correct?

Hey man but this thing is not at all about the theory of how life came into existence….
it’s about human interference with nature which is harmful for ourselves…that’s what i think ??

according to my view ……..
god is everywhere ….
so..
i think inside the body of scientist Craig Venter, somewhere god is hidden ……
find out …….

@ Raja
I do agree with you that this is not about how life came in to existence.
What I am trying to say is,If we believe God is creator & exists in each & every particle in this universe. It means God is present in Human beings & also in Human brains. So actually its God who is doing everything not Humanbrain & so no debate whether its good or bad because God is doing it.
If we believe in evolution then we are all part of nature because we came in to existence during this process of evolution & whatever happening( Hauman brain doing) is again a part of evolution process ,without this process(Human inventing some thing new)we would have been living in caves today also.We all are enjoying this modern life style only because Man alwayse interfered with nature hence nothing wrong in it.
Which school of thought is correct?( Ibelieve in evolution),would like to know readers views.
