Create Your Own Browser Based Torrent - BitLet.org
BitLet-The browser based torrent client, have undergone a significant update. Now it helps user to create their own “.torrent” file and then submit this files to “Miniova” and other BitTorrent sites for maximum exposure directly from your browser.
Using the new “Upload” section of the BitLet, users can now build up their own “.torrent” files. Following are the steps to create your own torrent at BitLet.
- Visit the upload section of BitLet.Here you will find two important things that an torrent requires.
- First select your “tracker“, from the list of four tracker available. To make the list of tracker visible, you need to click on the symbol “[..]” available on the upload page near Tracker.

- Then put in the comment (this is the optional part).
- Click on the “Create metafile, and then a dialog box will appear asking you to select the file to be made as torrent.
- Select the file and you are done.
- Now click on the link prompted at bottom, to submit your own torrent to one of the best torrent site “Mininova.org“
Isn’t this easy??Ya, and from now onwards you can create torrent, even when you are at bloody cafe with no torrent client installed. So what are you waiting for, go create your first browser based torrent.
Defining BitLet
Earlier in September I described BitLet as,
BitLet is a web applet that lets you download torrent files without the need for an actual torrent client.
No, I would like to re-frame the BitLet defination as,
“The excellent and ever improving web applet that lets you download as well as create torrent files without an actual torrent client installed in your computer”
It is the server, which assist in the communication between different peers(in simpler terms computer). Also there exists the concept of private tracker, whereby the access is restricted among the specific set of user. At the “BitLet” you can have trackers at servers of piratebay, torrent-downloads, sumotracker etc.
Here, you can find more detailed list of the tracker available on the net.
Hey, people don’t forget to drop in the link to your first browser based torrent, in the comment box below.
