Cricket in India—-Its so Personal!!

Yes,India won the World-Cup.It defeated Pakistan by 5 runs and yes once again we start loving our Cricket Team.Dhoni and his men are now the heroes in India. And yes,the bursting crackers in my place are an indication as to how ONE nation can get crazy about one thing….Cricket.
Imagine the other possibility.India loses against Pakistan in the finals.Dhoni and the team is now tagged as Losers.The next day I travel in train,I hear people commenting on the batting order followed by the Indian Team.From the common Second Class traveling worker to the CEO in the First Class,everyone has an opinion on the issue.
I just can’t imagine the plight of the Pakistani Team,which by now must have gone underground.Pakistan is One place where you cant stay alive after losing the Cricket World-Cup…especially after losing out to India.So kuddos to the ‘Gentlemen’s Game’ which is Cricket.

I left early from college @ 2:30 and the 3:00pm train which is usually empty was packed today bec of ppl leaving for home taking half day from their job to see India pak match…
Btw It was a superb match. Didn’t expected India to win in the last over but finally India proved that we have the potential to win. And they were all out…

Well yes,I agree with Annie.We should stop using the concept of ‘POST-HOC Arguments’.We tend to link things to the past.Yes,Chak De India is not THE FACTOR for these victories.Tell me,why didnt the same happen after ‘Iqbal’ released?Did it lack the calibre?Definitely not.It was also an inspiring tale of following your dreams,dreams of playing for India at the National level.
Yes,there were incidents in the country wherein people went the ‘Swades’ way and rejected High-profile jobs abroad,to stay back in India.But does that mean,Ashutosh Govarikar is THE man behind these transitions? Definitely NO!
Yes,cinema in some way does influence our thought-process,but one movie can definitely not be THE SOLE FACTOR responsible for changing lives…..

But what happens to our team India who fails to qualify for super 8 in WorldCup. and suddenly they brought T20 World Cup..

Dear Friend winning & loosing is part of any game
But we Indians react extremely to out come of cricket match.Cricket is simply a game like any other game & we should not waste our energy on this.Cricket players are earning crores whether they loose or win & we are just wasting our valuable time as if it is free.

but when we talk about INDIA, we see only INDIA n not all the states..
They play for Indians, when they are on the ground, they think about their fans..
And question about wasting time…
If we win the match then that will be considered as fun , if otherwise considered as WASTE of TIME..??

By the way,who said the Indian Cricket team plays only for its fans.They play for the Love Of The Game.Also they play for other reasons,some of them being ‘Coke Ads’,'Bournvita ads’,'Boost is the Secret Of My Energy’ ADS,etc etc.
And lets not get too emotional about our team buddy.They arent some great ‘Social Workers’ who dont care about their ‘STATES’.
As to what you feel on ‘Wasting Time’,I agree with Mr Vijay.You like the game,good,then go ahead watch it.But,please for God’s Sake,stop
glamourising Cricket so much.

As for as my knowledge goes BCCI has given an affidevit in honourable supreme court that team plays for BCCI & not for INDIA so lets not get too imotional.
I think you have not read my mail carefully,I my self have said that winning & loosing is a part of game.
You were asking the secret behind T20 win,in that connection I said its wsting time to analyse the secrets ,because in a game anything can happen.
cricket is simply a proffession like any other profession & every cricketer plays for his currier like any other proffessional.
With due respect to your views, As far as I am concerned watching cricket matches & analysing their results is a waste of time.
