Japan communication minister Mr. Yoshihide Suga recently said, that Japan will start research and development of new generation network technology which will replace internet, they hope to achieve this task change till 2020. Key feature of this plans…

  • Faster and more reliable data transfer.
  • More resilience against computer virus attack and breakdowns.
  • Setting up global standards of communication for new generation technology.

Japan will setup a task force early next month to oversee the transition from analog to digital broadcasting in July 2011. Thus transmitting television signals in digital pattern and then providing converters (from digital to analog) at low cost for television sets.

Mr. Suga is hoping that Japan will take a lead in the development of post-internet technology. They also believe that this move will help Japanese company become competitive in development of hardware and software required for newer technology.
